Addict Streetwear started as a t/shirt brand, Addict made t/shirts and made t/shirts very well, so well that Addict the t/shirt brand grew up into Addict Clothing Co, one of the few t/shirt brands able to make the transition from T/shirts to clothing. Addict place themselves next to MHI, Stussy & Carhartt, and for the guys from Southampton thats quite an achievement, the 'cool' stores in UK all stock Addict.
Sheone was Addicts lucky find, his Camo designs set the scene alight, all the stores were fighting to stock addict and Sheone became a big name in the streetwear scene through his Colabarations with Addict Clothing. Alongside this was the Colabs with C-Law, famed on Crooked Tongues and a bit of an urban legend, so it seems the colabs are the key.
British Streetwear has always been hard gig, people want to buy American but Addict has held its own and been one of the few brands able to be accepted across the water in the states, the cool stores over there have picked Addict up and seem to be doing quite well with it.
It seems that the Colabs, working with the right people, sticking with quality and well designed pieces can help push a brand to the forefront.
